The US government had earlier banned China Telecom (October 2021) and China Unicom (January 2022). Now, the same hammer has fallen on Pacific Networks and its subsidiary ComNet. They have 60 days to discontinue service in the US. A statement by the FCC says: China Telecom Americas is a fully owned subsidiary of China Telecom, the largest Chinese telecommunications company. All three Chinese firms are now banned from providing U.S. telecommunications services.
